Each person has a reason why they love clothing. Maybe it started with a photo you saw online, or someone you looked up to and wanted to dress like. But deeper down, what we wear represents a part of who we are.
I grew up in the suburbs of Georgia loving fashion but without anywhere local to really explore it. When I moved to New York for college, I finally walked into stores carrying clothing I had only ever seen online. From there, every city I visited became an opportunity to do the same, from Denver to Sydney to Tokyo to Seoul. Seeing how different cultures approached clothing, what they valued, what they made, and why, shaped the way I thought about fashion entirely. All these places had stores built on a passion for clothing. So I asked myself: why not Georgia?
antecedent will be a space where people can explore their love for clothing on a personal level. Come in to see pieces from your favorite designers or to learn about a brand you've never heard of before. Let's talk about textiles, history, silhouettes, or whatever else is on your mind. That's the kind of conversation we are here for.
